Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Zara. She had curly brown hair and big, shiny eyes. Zara loved to look up at the night sky from her cozy yellow house on Earth."Twinkle, twinkle, little stars!" she sang every night."Who lives up there?" Far, far away on a purple planet called Novu, there was a little boy named Kael. He had sparkly blue skin and three gentle eyes.
Kael loved to look at his starry sky too."Glimmer, glimmer, shiny stars!" he sang every night."Who lives down there?" One special night, something magical happened. A bright blue comet zoomed across both skies! Whoosh! Zara clapped her hands."Hello, sparkly sky friend!" Kael waved his four arms."Hello, shiny sky light!" The comet stopped in the middle.

Twinkle and Glow started to spin together. Faster and faster they went! Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh! They made a bridge made of light and rainbow colors.
Zara stepped onto the bridge. Her feet felt warm and tingly."Oooo!" she giggled.
Kael stepped onto the bridge from his side. His feet felt cool and tickly."Ahhh!" he laughed.
They walked closer and closer. The bridge made soft music. La-la-la!"Hi!" said Zara."I'm Zara! I live on Earth. We have green grass and blue skies." "Hello!" said Kael."I'm Kael! I live on Novu.
We have purple grass and pink skies." Zara looked at Kael's sparkly blue skin."You look different! But your smile is nice like mine." Kael looked at Zara's brown skin."You look different too! But your eyes are kind like mine." They sat down on the bridge together.
Swish! It felt like sitting on a soft cloud."What do you like to do?" asked Zara."I love to bounce! Boing, boing, boing!" Kael showed how he could jump really high."On Novu, we bounce to say hello!" Zara laughed."On Earth, we hug to say hello!" She gave Kael a gentle hug. Kael hugged back."Hugs feel nice! Different but nice!" Zara pulled out a sandwich."I brought peanut butter and jelly!
Want to share?" Kael pulled out a purple fruit."I brought starberries! Want to share?" They traded bites. Mmm, mmm, mmm!"Yummy!" said Zara."Peanut butter is nutty!" "Yummy!" said Kael."Starberries are sparkly!" They played a game. Zara taught Kael how to hopscotch. Hop, hop, hop! Kael taught Zara how to float.
Float, float, float!"You're a good teacher!" said Zara."You're a good learner!" said Kael. Then they heard a soft crying sound. Oh no! A tiny star friend was crying."What's wrong?" asked Zara gently."I'm scared of being different," sniffled the star."My points are too pointy!" Zara hugged the star."Being different is okay! Kael and I are different but we're friends!" Kael patted the star."Different is special! Look at us - different colors, same hearts!" The star stopped crying."Really?" "Really!" said Zara and Kael together. They looked around. More star friends and moonbeam friends were gathering.
Everyone was different colors and shapes!"Let's have a party!" said Zara."Everyone bring something special!" "Great idea!" said Kael. The Earth friends brought red flowers, green leaves, and yellow suns made of paper. The Novu friends brought purple bubbles, silver sparkles, and golden space dust.
They put everything together. Wow! It made the most beautiful rainbow bridge ever!"Different things make beautiful together!" sang Zara."Different friends make happy hearts!" sang Kael. They danced and played.
Swish, swish, swish! Spin, spin, spin! But then the sky started to get lighter.
The sun was coming up on Earth."Oh no!" said Zara."I have to go home soon.
My mommy will wake up." "Me too!" said Kael."My papa will look for me." They looked sad. Their eyes were shiny like stars."But how will we stay friends?" asked Zara.
Twinkle the star had an idea."Close your eyes and make a wish!" Zara and Kael closed their eyes."We wish to always be friends!" The rainbow bridge started to glow. It turned into tiny sparkles that flew into their hearts. Sparkle, sparkle! Now, every night when Zara looks up, she can see Kael's planet Novu.
It looks like a purple dot."Goodnight, Kael!" she whispers. And every night when Kael looks up, he can see Zara's Earth.
