Scene 1: Once's moment

Once upon a time, in a deep green forest, there was a little girl named Pia. Pia had curly hair and a big smile. She loved to explore. The forest was full of tall trees and soft moss.

It was a magical place. One sunny morning, Pia went for a walk. She saw a blue butterfly. Follow me!

said the butterfly. Pia ran fast. Zoom! Zoom!

She ran past a big oak tree. She ran past a sleepy frog. Suddenly, Pia stopped.

Oh no! She saw a little house made of leaves. It belonged to Sammy the Squirrel. Sammy was not home.

But his special acorns were there. They were in a neat pile. Crash! Pia bumped into the pile.

Acorns went everywhere. Roll, roll, roll. Pia felt scared. Her heart went thump, thump, thump.

She wanted to run away. If nobody sees me, I do not have to tell, she thought. She started to tiptoe away. Tip, toe, tip, toe.

Can you make a tiptoe sound? Then, a sparkly light floated down. Whoosh! It was Truth Fairy Tina.

Tina was tiny and bright. She had wings like a dragonfly. She wore a crown of stars. Hello, Pia, said Tina.

Her voice sounded like a little bell. You look worried. Can you tell me why? Pia looked at her shoes.

She did not speak. Tina flew closer. Is something heavy in your heart? A lie feels heavy like a big, gray stone.

It is hard to carry. But the truth? The truth feels light like a fluffy cloud. It makes you want to fly!

Pia looked at the messy acorns. Then she looked at the fairy. She did not want a heavy stone in her heart. I...

I made a mess, whispered Pia. I knocked over Sammy's acorns. I am sorry. Just then, Sammy the Squirrel came back.

He looked at the mess. He looked at Pia. You did this? asked Sammy.

Yes, said Pia. I ran too fast. I did not mean to, but I did it. Sammy smiled a big squirrel smile.

Thank you for telling me, Pia. Accidents happen. But it is good to be honest. Pia helped Sammy pick up the acorns.

One, two, three. They worked together. It was fun! Truth Fairy Tina clapped her hands.

Clap, clap, clap! See? said Tina. The truth made you light!

Now you can play and be happy. Pia felt happy. The heavy feeling was gone. She laughed.

Giggle, giggle! From that day on, Pia always told the truth. And guess what? The Truth Fairy visited her sometimes to say hello.

Can you guess what Pia said whenever she made a mistake? She said, I tell the truth! And they all lived happily ever after.
