In this garden lived a little butterfly named Flutter. Flutter had wings that were pink and sparkly. They were very pretty. But Flutter was very shy.

His name was Buzz. Buzz was not shy at all. He was loud and happy. Buzz flew fast.

She saw one black stripe on Buzz. He looked friendly. 'Come out and play! 'said Buzz.
'The sun is warm. The wind is nice. Let's dance! 'Flutter pulled her head back.
She shook her head no. She whispered,'I am too shy. 'Buzz heard her little whisper. 'That is okay,'said Buzz gently.
'You do not have to be loud. You can be quiet. But maybe you can just say hello? Just one word?
'Flutter thought about it. She looked at the sunny sky. She looked at the green grass. She looked at Buzz's smiling face.
She took a deep breath in. Then she let it out. She opened her wings. They sparkled in the sun.
She flew up from the leaf. Whoosh! She flew out from behind the rose. She landed on a flower next to Buzz.
She looked at his eyes. She said,'Hello. 'It was a small word. But it was a brave word.
Buzz smiled big. 'Hello Flutter! 'he said. 'See?
That was not so hard! 'Flutter smiled too. Her tummy did not feel funny anymore. It felt happy.
'Do you want to dance? 'asked Buzz. 'Yes,'said Flutter. 'Let's dance!
'So, Buzz buzzed. Zzzzt! And Flutter flapped. Flap, flap, flap!
They danced around the garden. They flew up high. They flew down low. They spun around and around.
They played tag on the flowers. Flutter was not shy anymore. She was having fun. She was happy.
At the end of the day, the sun went down. The sky turned dark blue. It was time to sleep. 'Goodbye Buzz,'said Flutter.
'Goodbye Flutter,'said Buzz. 'See you tomorrow. 'Flutter went to her leaf. She was tired but happy.
She closed her eyes. She knew that tomorrow, she would say hello again. Being brave just means trying. And Flutter tried.
