Once upon a time, in a sky full of sleepy clouds, lived a tiny Dream Fairy named Luna. Luna had sparkly purple wings that went 'shimmer shimmer' when she flew. She loved making children happy! One night, Luna saw a sad little boy named Max crying.
His favorite red balloon had flown away."Oh no!" said Luna."I must help!" She flew down, down, down. Whoosh! Past twinkling stars. Whoosh!
Past smiling moon. Luna found the lonely balloon caught on a tree branch."Hello, balloon," Luna whispered."Let's bring you home!" The balloon smiled a big round smile. (Yes, balloons can smile in dreams! ) But oh dear! The balloon was too big for tiny Luna to carry.
What could she do? Can you guess? Luna had an idea! She sprinkled dream-dust on her wings.
Poof! Her wings grew bigger and stronger. She tied a soft ribbon around the balloon and pulled gently. Up, up, up they flew!
They flew over Max's house. Luna tiptoed to his window and - puff! - sent the balloon inside. Max woke up and gasped!"My balloon! You came back!" Max hugged his balloon tight."Thank you, kind fairy!" Luna's heart felt warm and fuzzy like a teddy bear. She giggled a sparkly giggle."Remember, Max," she said,"kindness makes magic happen!" Every night after that, Luna helps lost balloons find their way home.
Sometimes she brings extra ones for children who are feeling sad. The sky is full of happy colors! Now when you see a balloon floating by, wave hello! Maybe Luna the Dream Fairy is nearby, spreading kindness like star sprinkles.
