Scene 1: Once's moment

Once upon a time, there was a little rabbit named Barnaby. Barnaby was a Brave Explorer. He had soft white fur and very long ears. He loved to hop, hop, hop!

One sunny morning, Barnaby put on his favorite red boots. Stomp, stomp, stomp! He wanted to find the secret of the Whispering Woods. The woods were tall and green.

The leaves went swish, swish, swish in the wind. Barnaby felt a little bit scared. His tummy went flip-flop. But he took a deep breath.

In and out. He said, I am brave! I am brave! At the edge of the woods, he met a new friend.

It was Oliver the Owl. Oliver was a Wise Guide. He had big, round eyes and soft feathers. Hoo, hoo!

said Oliver. Where are you going, little friend? Barnaby twitched his nose. I am going to the Magic Glitter Tree, said Barnaby.

But I do not know the way. Oliver smiled a warm smile. I will help you, said Oliver. Follow me!

Follow me! They walked into the woods together. It was dark and shadowy. Whoosh!

went the wind. Barnaby stopped. He felt scared again. Are you okay?

asked Oliver. I am a little bit scared, said Barnaby. That is okay, said Oliver gently. Even brave explorers get scared.

Being brave means you keep going even when you are scared. Barnaby took a deep breath. I can do it, he said. I can do it!

Suddenly, they heard a loud noise. Snap! Crack! A big branch fell on the path.

Oh no! said Barnaby. We cannot get past! Can you guess what happened next?

Oliver flapped his wings. Flap, flap, flap! Fly up to the top, Oliver, said Barnaby. So Oliver flew up high.

He looked down with his big eyes. I see a way! said Oliver. We must go under the big leaves.

They crawled under the leaves. It was tickly on their noses. Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle! They made it through.

Barnaby was so happy. He did a little hop. Hip, hip, hooray! They walked a little more.

The ground became soft and squishy. Squish, squash, squish! They found a river blocking their path. Splash, splash!

went the water. The water was too wide to jump. What will we do? asked Barnaby.

He looked at the water. It looked cold. I do not like water, said Barnaby. The Wise Guide thought for a moment.

Look, said Oliver. There are stepping stones. We can jump! One, two, three!

Barnaby looked at the stones. They looked slippery. He felt scared again. His heart beat thump, thump, thump.

Hold my wing, said Oliver. We will do it together. Barnaby held Oliver's wing. It felt very warm and safe.

One! they shouted. Hop! Two!

they shouted. Hop! Three! they shouted.

Hop! They made it across the river. Splash! They landed safely on the other side.

Barnaby smiled the biggest smile. We did it! he cheered. You are very brave, said Oliver.

And you are a very good guide, said Barnaby. Just then, the trees parted. Wow! whispered Barnaby.

In front of them stood the Magic Glitter Tree. It was glowing with golden light. Twinkle, twinkle, twinkle! It was the most beautiful thing Barnaby had ever seen.

The leaves sparkled like stars. Barnaby felt warm and happy inside. He was not scared anymore. He was proud.

He had faced the dark woods. He had crossed the river. He was a true Brave Explorer. We found it!

said Oliver. They sat under the tree and watched the lights. It was very quiet and peaceful. Barnaby knew he would always remember this day.

He learned something important. He learned that being brave does not mean you are never scared. Being brave means trying your best, even when things are hard. And having a good friend helps too.

The sun began to set. The sky turned orange and pink. It is time to go home, said Oliver. Barnaby nodded his head.

Thank you for helping me, said Barnaby. Anytime, little friend, said Oliver. They walked back home. Hop, hop, hop.

Barnaby felt sleepy but very happy. He could not wait to tell his family about his adventure. And he knew that tomorrow, he would be ready for another magical journey.
