Once upon a time, little Sam looked up at the night sky and said,"Wow! I want to visit the stars!" Zoom! A sparkly purple spaceship landed in Sam's backyard.
It went Bloop! Bloop! Pop! The door opened with a happy Ding-a-ling!"Hello!" said the spaceship."I am Zoomy. Will you come play with the stars?" Sam clapped hands."Yes, yes! But I need friends to help." Zoomy beeped,"Beep-boop!
Teamwork makes space more fun!" Sam ran to get best friends: Mia the Bunny, Leo the Dog, and Tilly the Cat."We are going to space!" Sam shouted."Yippee!" barked Leo."Whee!" squeaked Mia."Purr-fect!" purred Tilly. They all climbed into Zoomy. Click-click went their seatbelts.
3... 2... 1... Whoosh!
Up they flew past clouds, past birds, past the moon! The stars giggled,"He-he-he! Welcome, friends!" But oh no!
A shiny star was stuck on a big rock."Help! Help!" it cried."I cannot twinkle!" Sam said,"We will help you, little star!" Mia tried to pull the star. She tugged and tugged."Too heavy!" Leo tried to dig the star out. Dig-dig-dig!"Rock too strong!" Tilly tried to lick the rock. Lick-lick!"Tastes like space cheese, but star still stuck!" Sam felt sad."One friend cannot do it. What can we do?" Zoomy beeped,"Try together! Teamwork time!" Sam had an idea."Let’s all help at the same time!" Mia pulled the star. Pull-pull!
Leo dug under the rock. Dig-dig! Tilly pushed the rock. Push-push!
Sam gave happy cheers."You can do it!" The rock wiggled... wobble-wobble...
and POP! The star was free!"Yay!" everyone shouted.
The star twinkled bright."Thank you, team! You saved my sparkle!" All the stars danced.
Twirl-twirl! They made a shiny slide of light."Let’s play!" giggled the stars.
Sam and friends slid down the star slide. Wheeeeee! They landed on a soft cloud of marshmallows."That was fun!" laughed Leo, licking a marshmallow."Sweet!" Tilly purred,"Teamwork feels warm like sunshine." Mia wiggled her nose."Friends make hard things easy!" Zoomy beeped,"Beep-boop! Time to go home." The stars waved."Come back soon!" Sam and friends hugged Zoomy."Thank you for trip!" Whoosh!
Down they flew. Past moon, past birds, past clouds. Bump! They landed softly in Sam’s yard.
Mama called,"Snack time!" Sam smiled big."We helped a star twinkle again!" The friends shared cookies and told Mama all about teamwork in space.
Before bed, Sam looked up. The rescued star winked from the sky. Blink-blink! Sam whispered,"Good night, star.
Good night, teamwork." And under the twinkling sky, Sam felt happy, loved, and ready for more adventures tomorrow. The end.
