Scene 1: Once's moment

Once upon a time, in a sunny little town, lived three best friends: Hiro, Sofia, and Mr. Tanaka. They loved to make paper planes! Whoosh!

Zoom! Giggle! One bright morning, Hiro held up a shiny silver paper."Look!

The Paper Plane Championship is today!" His eyes sparkled like stars. Sofia clapped her hands."We can enter together!" Mr. Tanaka smiled. His gray beard wiggled when he laughed."But first, we must work as a team." They ran to the big green park. So many kids were there! Some planes loop-de-loop. Some planes dive-bomb.

Splish! One plane landed in the duck pond. Quack! Quack!

Hiro folded his paper fast. Fold, fold, fold. Crease, crease, crease."My plane will be the best!" he said. Sofia whispered,"Can we help too?" "No, I can do it alone," Hiro said. Mr.

Tanaka watched quietly. He sipped warm tea from his tiny cup. Slurp. The first contest was the Long Glide.

Kids lined up. Ready, set, FLY! Planes soared like birds. Hiro threw his plane hard.

It zoomed up, up, up… then plop! Down it went. Quick. Hiro’s face felt hot and red."Oh no!" Sofia patted his shoulder."It’s okay. Let’s try again.

Together." Mr. Tanaka nodded."Teamwork makes the dream work!" They sat under a big shady tree. The leaves went swish-swish in the breeze. They shared ideas. Sofia said,"My plane needs pointy wings." Hiro said,"My plane needs strong folds." Mr. Tanaka said,"Let’s mix both ideas!" They folded one special plane.

Fold, crease, fold, crease. They used red paper, blue paper, and shiny gold paper. It looked like a rainbow! Then came the Loop Contest.

Hiro held the plane. His tummy felt fluttery like butterflies."Ready?" he asked."Ready!" Sofia cheered."Ready!" Mr.

Tanaka twinkled. One… two… three! Whoosh! The plane loop-de-looped three times.

Wow! The crowd clapped. Clap, clap, clap! But then - oh no!

A big gust of wind came. Wooooosh! The plane spun too fast. It tumbled down.

Sad faces. Hiro looked at the ground."It didn’t work." Sofia hugged him."We can fix it. We just need to listen to each other more." Mr. Tanaka smiled kindly."Every great pilot needs a great crew. Let’s be a crew!" They tried again. This time, they talked softly.

They shared scissors and glue. Snip, snip. Drip, drip. They laughed when glue got on Mr.

Tanaka’s nose. Hee-hee! The last contest was the Team Throw. Only teams of three could enter.

Perfect! Hiro stood on the left. Sofia stood on the right. Mr.

Tanaka stood in the middle. Their rainbow plane rested on all three hands."On the count of three," said the judge. She wore a big purple hat.

The friends looked at each other. They took a deep breath. In… out… "One…" Hiro smiled."Two…" Sofia giggled."Three!" Mr. Tanaka shouted. They threw together.

The plane flew high - higher than the tallest tree! It glided through the sky like a magic dragon. Swoooosh! It did a perfect flip, then floated down gently, right in the middle of the landing circle.

Boop! Everyone cheered."Hooray! Hooray!" The judge gave them a big golden ribbon. It sparkled in the sunlight. Hiro jumped up and down."We did it!

We did it!" Sofia spun in a circle."Because we worked together!" Mr.

Tanaka bowed like a wise wizard."Teamwork makes every flight brighter." They held the ribbon high. Friends came to see their rainbow plane.

They shared snacks and stories. Crunch, crunch went the cookies. Slurp, slurp went the juice. As the sun dipped low, painting the sky pink and orange, Hiro looked at his friends."Thank you for helping me. Flying alone is lonely. Flying together is magic!" Sofia grinned."Let’s build a whole fleet tomorrow!" Mr. Tanaka chuckled."I’ll bring more tea." They walked home, hand in hand, under twinkling fireflies. Blink, blink. The golden ribbon fluttered like a tiny flag. Their hearts felt warm and light, just like their paper plane soaring in the sky.
