Once upon a time in the Veggie Patch, Captain Carrot hops up high. 'Hooray! ' he says. 'Today is a happy day!
' His best friends Benny Beet and Sally Squash wave their leaves. 'Good morning, Captain! ' they giggle. The sun shines bright.

'Friends, we must rescue everyone! ' Sally Squash rolls forward. 'I can float! Splash, splash!
' Benny Beet digs fast. 'Dig, dig, dig! I make tunnels! ' Captain Carrot hops super high.
'Boing! Boing! I can jump over puddles! ' Together they shout, 'One, two, three...
TEAMWORK! ' First, Sally Squash rolls through the chocolate. Swish! She makes a path.
The carrots climb on her back. 'Whee! ' they say. 'We are safe!
' Next, Benny Beet digs tunnels under the sticky spots. Whoosh! The ants slide through. 'Thank you!
' they giggle. 'You are our heroes! ' But one baby carrot still cries. 'I am too little!
I cannot move! ' Captain Carrot gives his biggest hop ever. Boing! Boing!
Boing! He lands right beside the baby carrot. 'Hold my paw,' he says softly. 'We go together.
' The baby carrot smiles. 'I feel brave with you! ' All the veggies cheer! The Silly Ants dance tiny dances.
Everyone is happy again. Benny Beet asks, 'What should we do with the chocolate? ' Sally Squash giggles, 'Let's make chocolate veggie treats! ' They all work together.
Mix, mix, mix! Yum, yum, yum! The veggie patch smells sweet and happy. Now the friends sit in a circle.
'We did it because we worked together,' says Captain Carrot. The baby carrot snuggles close. 'Thank you for being my friends. ' And every day after, when someone needs help, the veggie team always answers, 'We are on our way!
