Scene 1: Scene 1

Once upon a time, a little white bunny named Benny lived in a cozy burrow with his Grandma. She had soft gray fur and loved to give warm hugs. One morning, Grandma sniffled."Oh dear, my heart feels heavy and gray." Benny twitched his pink nose."What helps your heart feel shiny again, Grandma?" "Soft moon-flowers," she whispered."They glow like tiny moons and smell like sweet dreams.

But they only grow deep in the Dark Woods where trees whisper 'ooooh' and shadows dance." Benny's ears drooped. The Dark Woods looked big and scary from his window. But Grandma needed help.

He puffed out his small chest."I will be brave for you, Grandma!" He packed a tiny blue backpack with one carrot, one hug from Grandma, and his brave heart. Tap-tap-tap went his little feet on the path.

The trees grew taller and taller. The sky turned from sunny blue to leafy green to spooky gray. The Dark Woods loomed ahead."Who goes there?" whispered the trees."Swish-swish-swish!" Benny's knees shook like jelly."Just me, Benny.

I'm getting moon-flowers for Grandma." The trees bent low."The flowers glow beyond the giggling creek and the sleepy hollow. But oh, little bunny, are you brave enough?" "I have my brave heart!" Benny squeaked. He hopped forward. Hop-hop-hop.

First came the giggling creek."Tee-hee-hee!" laughed the water. It splashed Benny's paws.

Splash! Splash! Benny found stepping stones. He wiggled his nose."One hop, two hops, three hops - across!" He made it! Tippy-toe, tippy-toe. Next came the sleepy hollow.

Fog floated like ghost pillows."Ooooh," sighed the wind. Benny saw glowing eyes! Yellow ones!

Green ones! His fur stood up like a fluffy cloud. But then - "Ribbit!" said the eyes. They were just friendly frogs with shiny eyes. Benny giggled."Hello, froggy friends!

I'm Benny." The frogs croaked a song: "Brave bunny, brave bunny, hop-hop-hop! Moon-flowers near, don't stop!" Benny felt warmer inside.

He followed their song. Hop-hop-hop. Then - WOW!

A clearing glowed with tiny white lights. The moon-flowers! They looked like stars fell to earth. Soft, shiny, and smelling like sugar cookies.

Benny picked three flowers gently. Pluck-pluck-pluck. They felt like velvet between his paws. But oh no!

The path home was gone! The trees had moved their branches."Lost, lost, little bunny," they hissed. Benny's eyes filled with tears."I want Grandma!" he sniffed. He felt the warm hug in his backpack. Grandma's love wrapped around him like a blanket.

He took a deep breath."I am brave. I can find my way." He looked up.

The moon shone above, round and bright."Moon, please help me." The moon smiled. A silver path of light appeared on the ground.

Sparkle-sparkle! Benny followed the moonbeam path. Past the sleepy hollow. Past the giggling creek.

Past the whispering trees. Soon he saw warm yellow light from his burrow window. Grandma waited outside, her paws clasped together."Benny!" she cried."My brave bunny!" Benny ran into her arms. Squeeze-squeeze!

He gave her the moon-flowers. Grandma's eyes sparkled."They smell like bedtime stories and feel like kisses. Thank you, my little hero." That night, Benny snuggled between Grandma's soft paws. The moon-flowers glowed gently on their table, making silver shadows dance on the walls. Benny whispered,"I was scared, but love made me brave." Grandma kissed his head."Courage isn't being not scared. It's being scared and doing it anyway for someone you love." The moon smiled through their window, and Benny's heart felt warm and shiny - just like Grandma's. Now close your eyes, little one.

Can you see Benny hopping through the moonlight? Can you smell the sweet moon-flowers? They remind us that love makes us braver than we know. Good night, brave bunny.

Good night, glowing flowers. Good night, magical woods that aren't so scary after all.
